Weekend schedule:
- Friday, 11:30 am-4:30 pm, 6-9 pm
- Saturday, 7:30-10:30 am, 12-5:30 pm
- Sunday, 8-11 am, 12-5 pm
Exceptions to the above are 2 additional sessions on:
- Saturdays, October 27 & January 26, 6-8:30 pm
Morning sessions are dedicated for personal practice and afternoons for workshops and practicums. Times may vary slightly. Please leave the entire weekend flexible for the training.
Sample Weekend
Each training weekend consists of 25 + hours of study comprised from our
core areas: practice (asana, pranayama, chanting, meditation, etc.),
teaching methodology, anatomy and physiology, philosophy and ethics.
These weekends are supported by take-home assignments and reading,
practice logs and journaling.

Sunday 8 am-5 pm:
Lead Asana class (Vinyasa Yoga focus) & Pranayama class (2 hours)

Participation in individual continuing education workshops will be considered for
experienced students and with permission from the training Director. To attend an individual workshop, a list will be available by June 1, 2012. All inquiries contact Amy at (530) 926-0221.
Requirements For Participation
Participants must have a minimum of 2 years of ongoing yoga experience, have a current yoga practice, with a strong foundation in standing poses and a practice of inversions. Individuals who are not interested in teaching, but who wish to further their own practice are welcome. A minimum of 15 participants is required to hold the training with a maximum of 25 to help maintain the quality. Each participant must complete the Applications 1 & 2, and sign the Tuition Payment and Agreement forms as requested, and be accepted by the Program Director in order to attend training.
Yoga Teacher Certification
Upon completion of the 200-hour course requirements, students will be presented with a Certificate of Completion of the VajraPani Yoga, 200-hour teacher training program. Course requirements include 100% participation in training, mid-term and final tests, practice logs, reading assignments and documentation on teaching and designing yoga classes. Where
All weekend trainings are held at the Shasta Yoga Center. The Shasta Yoga Center is located in Northern California, in central downtown Mount Shasta, on Mount Shasta's main street, upstairs at 315 A South Mt Shasta Blvd. See Shasta Yoga Center map for directions.
Mount Shasta | Accommodations
A retreat or vacation setting, the City of Mt. Shasta is nestled at the foot of alluring Mount Shasta. At 14,162 feet, Mount Shasta is the second highest volcano in the United States and a major peak of the Cascade range. Mt. Shasta is surrounded by divine beauty, spectacular mountain vistas and crystal clear alpine lakes. Spiritual seekers, healers, alternative health practitioners, environmentalists and outdoor enthusiasts are all drawn to Mt. Shasta because of its engaging and pure beauty. This is a nonresidential course. However, there are many hotels, motels, and inns within the downtown area. Past VajraPani graduates are also open to renting rooms in their homes to Teacher Training attenndees. In warmer weather, several campgrounds can be used only a few minutes drive from town.
